Mission
To educate, mentor and grow a symbiotic network of Filipinos in institutional real estate
History
Filipinos in Institutional Real Estate (FIIRE) was founded in 2008. The non-profit organization was the vision of Lourdes “Lou” Canlas and Gloria Gil, long-time professionals in the industry. The concept was to bring together a group of commercial real estate professionals to network, mentor and educate for the advancement of Filipinos in institutional real estate.
Participate
Networking
Mixers are coordinated on a quarterly basis in Southern California and Northern California.
Mentoring
Mentors with expertise can help develop the career of a mentee. FIIRE helps pair up mentor/mentee in this important development relationship.
Outreach
Join us in getting the word out to students and others about the commercial real estate industry.
Annual Dinner
Usually scheduled for the end of summer, FIIRE members come together for an evening of presentations and discussion regarding our industry.

ULI Asia will be in Manila on 2/27/20 for an event. FIIRE board members will be attending this separate event and encourage you to participate as well.
Master Class – Our intent is to share our commercial real estate experience with professionals in the Philippines. We are looking for experts to teach a master class. Please let us know if you would like to participate.
Attendees will be responsible for their own travel. We will send out information on hotel reservations closer to the dates of the event; we are working on a FIIRE group discount. If you are interested in hearing more about the event, please email me. Our market lead in the Philippines is Eric Manuel with Arch Capital. Eric can answer any questions related to local logistics.
